The perfect basket for picking up essentials at the market and for storing picnics, books and blankets on days out in the countryside, this basket can also be attached to the back of your bike as a stylish rear pannier if preferred. This handy bike accessory can also be attached to stairway bannisters, bathroom towel rails and even cots if you fancy an aesthetic alternative to storing books and magazines, towels, toiletries and toys. Each individual bike basket is a work of art, taking up to three days to weave by hand. Made from indigenous veta vera grass – also known as Elephant Grass – the preparation process is lengthy: grass is harvested, split, hand-rolled and dyed in boiling water before a skilled weaver from our partner weaving cooperative in Northern Ghana sets to work.
