Paper Star Ice – White, Pink & Taupe

Almost like an ice flower floating in the air, the Paper Star Ice is made up of countless slender, pointed layers that unfold from its centre. Its wonderfully intricate shape makes it beautiful even during the daytime, but switch on the light and something rather magical happens: a soft glow finds its way between the folds, bringing every delicate detail to life.

Each star is ethically handmade in India by skilled artisans, who carefully fold and shape the paper by hand. Creating all those individual points takes time, patience and a wonderful eye for detail. The result is a beautifully full, three-dimensional star with the character and subtle imperfections that can only come from something made by hand.

Despite its statement-making shape, paper keeps the Ice wonderfully light and airy. Measuring 55 x 55 x 17 cm, it is large enough to become a real feature in a room without feeling overpowering. Hang it above a table, in a cosy corner or in front of a window, where its sculptural silhouette can be enjoyed throughout the day.

Choose from White, Pink or Taupe. White has a fresh, almost wintry feel, Pink brings a soft and warm touch of colour, while Taupe blends beautifully with wood, linen, ceramics and earthy interiors. We also love mixing different colours and paper star designs together for a playful display during the darker months.

The Paper Star Ice comes with a 3-metre electric cable and E14 lamp holder, giving you plenty of freedom to find just the right spot. The light bulb itself is not included. Carefully fold the star away after the season and you can bring it out year after year – although we think it is far too beautiful to save just for Christmas.
