As the evenings grow darker, our Starlight Paper Star Lamp casts a soft, warm light across the room, creating that cosy atmosphere we love so much. Beautiful hanging in a living room, bedroom or hallway, it is just as special switched off during the day, when its many delicate folds turn it into a striking piece of paper art.

Each star is ethically handmade in India by skilled artisans, using traditional techniques that require both patience and precision. The paper is silk-screen printed before being carefully folded and shaped by hand, with layer upon layer coming together to create its wonderfully full, almost flower-like shape. Look closely and you can really see the craftsmanship that has gone into every point and fold.

Made from paper, the Starlight is wonderfully lightweight and a more conscious alternative to decorations made from plastic. Its handmade character means that subtle differences may occur from one star to another – little details that make each piece unique and tell the story of the hands that made it.

Choose from three beautiful, easy-to-combine colours: White, Pink and Taupe. White is fresh and timeless, Pink adds a gentle touch of colour, while Taupe has a warm, earthy feel that sits beautifully alongside wood, linen, ceramics and other natural materials. Measuring 64 x 64 x 21.5 cm, the star has a wonderfully generous size and makes a real statement without feeling heavy in your interior.

Although particularly lovely during autumn and the festive season, this is far too pretty to reserve for Christmas alone. Hang it in a cosy corner, above a table or near a window and enjoy its sculptural shape throughout the darker months. Once illuminated, the folds catch the light beautifully and give the star its enchanting glow.

Your Starlight comes with a 3-metre electric cable suitable for an E14 bulb, giving you plenty of flexibility when deciding where to hang it. The light bulb itself is not included. The star arrives carefully folded in a box; simply place your hand gently inside each point and softly spread your fingers to open it out. When you want to store it away, it can be folded flat again and kept safely in its box until its next moment to shine.
