The Story of the Sumak Hemp Rugs
These hemp rugs are designed by Tell Me More Interiors and made by hand by talented craftsmen in India where they have long traditions and skills in rug weaving. The fiber is extracted from the outer part of the stem of the fast-growing hemp plant. It is a material known to be both dirt-repellent and durable. However, hemp fiber is sensitive to light, and it is good to know that the colour can fade over time if the rug is placed in direct sunlight.
