The basket collection at Mayala Home is a celebration of craftsmanship, colour and conscious living. From earthy storage baskets to vibrant Berber treasures, every piece is handwoven with care, using natural and eco-friendly materials like seagrass, palm leaves, jute and recycled wool.

We work with artisan communities across the world – from the coastal villages of Bangladesh to the lively souks of Morocco. Each basket tells a different story. Our Berber baskets are true eye-catchers: colourful, one-of-a-kind pieces handwoven by Amazigh women in Morocco using traditional coiling techniques. They’re made with a blend of natural grasses and recycled wool, often leftover from rug-making – making them both sustainable and incredibly joyful. These baskets are perfect for storing bits and bobs, brightening up a shelf, or simply adding a pop of personality to your home.

Alongside these vibrant pieces, you’ll find neutral-toned storage baskets that bring calm and softness to any space. Think hand-braided jute baskets, palm leaf bowls and seagrass planters – all made slowly, with love and intention.
