Seminyak Wall Baskets – Set of 3 – 40, 50 & 60 cm

Some walls simply call for a little more texture. The Seminyak Wall Baskets are a beautiful set of three handwoven baskets, made from natural banana leaf and black cotton. Together they create an eye-catching wall decoration that feels warm and artisanal, while the natural and black colour combination gives them a slightly graphic edge.

The set includes three different sizes – 40, 50 and 60 cm – designed to look especially beautiful together. Hang them close to one another as a little collection, spread them playfully across a larger wall or combine them with photographs, artwork and other collected treasures. Above the sofa, a sideboard or bed, they instantly add depth and character without making the room feel busy.

Each basket is entirely handmade from banana leaf and cotton. Once dried, banana leaves become strong yet flexible fibres that are wonderfully suited to traditional weaving. The natural golden-brown tones have been left visible and are contrasted with handwoven black cotton, creating the striking pattern that makes these baskets so special.

We love banana leaf for its wonderfully organic character. It is a natural, renewable plant material and using the dried leaves gives them a new purpose as a beautiful decorative fibre. You can still see the little irregularities, variations in colour and differences in texture that belong to the original plant.

And that is also what makes this set so lovely: no two baskets will ever be exactly alike. Each one has passed through the hands of its maker, so small differences in shape, weave and colour are part of their story rather than imperfections. Together, the three baskets create a wonderfully relaxed composition with all the character of genuine craftsmanship.
