The Story of the Indian Pataa Table
Pataa boards were used in India as low seats, since the floor could be cold or dirty, or as dining or side table, for example to serve tea. This table is also called a 'Bajot' table. They are ideal for showcasing and highlighting unique pieces, and can also be used as a plant table or tray to serve breakfast in bed. Or use it as a side table, for instance when using the laptop. Endless possibilities!
All pataa tables differ slightly in colour and size because they are handmade from recycled and reclaimed wood, for example from demolished houses that have been renewed in India or from floor boards and roof structures. The beautifully decorated legs are all authentic and original pieces.

The wood has a full medium to dark patina from years of use. It is a mixture of local hardwood, depending on the area/region where the building stood. Hardwood was used as a quality and long-term material. Every item here has an FSC-recycled label.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organization that sets the international standards for responsible forest management worldwide. Trees and wood products that are processed according to those standards can obtain an FSC-certification. Regular inspections are done by independent certification companies. Products that have an FSC-logo give consumers a guarantee that no illegal or unsustainable logging has taken place in the making of that product.
